JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for providing a high standard of barbering services accurately, thoroughly and in accordance with established procedures. Cultivates new guest relationships and ensures retention of existing guests. Displays the highest level of guest service in strict accordance to service standards. Continually meets and/or exceeds service and retail sales objectives.ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Reports to the General Manager; receives direction from the Department LeadJOB SUPERVISES (Title(s):N/A ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides thorough, accurate barbering services to guests, in accordance with established procedures.Holds initial and on-going consultation, emphasizing product/service features and benefits, and encourages guests to purchase products/services appropriate for their needs.Provides a full range of technical treatment services, in a quality manner, following established protocol and becomes proficient in new service offerings and improves and updates skills through training programs.Maintains safety standards and cleanliness, keeping work area clean and equipment properly sanitized. Cleans and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instruments.Demonstrates impeccable guest service while being courteous and attentive to guest needs.Maintains a consistent level of sales productivity, retail sales, promotional sales, and guest retention, including participation in promotional activities to build current guest loyalty and/or attract new guests; activities include the provision of complimentary services and educating guests on available promotions & programs (e.g., series sales, retail sales, etc.).Proactively develops new customers, maintain client cards and send \"thank you\" and \"come again\" notes to preserve existing guest relationships.Takes initiative and action to perfect beauty service knowledge and skills. Attends and participate in training sessions, staff meetings, sales promotions and external beauty shows.Performs general duties as assigned in a prompt and precise manner.Shape and trim beards and moustaches, using proper toolsDrape and pin protective cloths around customers' shouldersJOB REQUIREMENTS:Appropriate training, experience and certification (established for specific levels of theposition).Valid and current state license, as required.Thorough knowledge of current trends, hair styles, hair care products and related procedures.Excellent interpersonal, communication (English speaking) and customer service skills.Strong organizational skills.Physical mobility, able to stand on feet for a prolonged period of time.Flexible, reliable, and available to work various schedules, including weekends and holidays.Current applicable license.Barber must provide own tools and equipment.
